Writing Letters

Hello to all.

With today’s technology, many sends emails, text, pictures, messages through social networks and forums, but the art of sitting down, putting a pen to the paper and writing a letter, be it to a family member, a best friend or even to your spouse has long been neglected due to technology.

What a treasure and joy when you open your mailbox and sits a letter from someone close to you without just seeing bills or junk mail. You get to have a more personalized way of reaching out to someone by writing a letter. And, many have a special place where they save all the letters and cards received.

Okay, call me old-fashioned, but you know, I still enjoy taking the time to writing a letter and mailing it to some very close friends of mine that are far away. And, I know they enjoy reading it as I enjoyed writing it!

Okay, now some here will say, “well come on Joanne, why pay for a stamp when sending an email is free?” True, I know that emails is a wonderful technology to contact with another, it is free as well and you can do so as many times as you want throughout the day. But, nothing will beat writing a letter. Your personal thoughts, pouring out your heart with a pen on a paper is not only good to share a gift with a loved one, it is also good for your soul. It is a better way to connect to a loved one versus modern technology.

So, how about it?

Pick up a pen, grab some paper and write a letter today! Bring joy to someone!

Happy Writing!
