New Year

Another year begins. The year of Our Lord 2013. So many people have good intentions on making New Year Resolution from losing weight, to save some money, to be a better person. Why always the New Year? Why can’t we just start any day of the year? Every resolution is indeed a good idea, however, we sometimes fail to keep up. Is it because the resolution is too big and unreachable? Is it because we just don’t have enough confidence in ourselves to achieve it? Or the willpower? We must first of all realize that since the beginning of time we always have these set goals. However; we cannot do it alone. We must ONE: pray about it, ask God for help. TWO: believe that God will help, and THREE: remember if we stumble, God as a loving parent, will help you up and support you on your goal. So, my friends, did I make a New Year resolution? No, I did not. For I believe that as each new day begins is a new day to be on track, with God, with His love, His guidance. He will not fail me, nor abandon me, and I will do the same. Resolution? Each day is one! 🙂

Until next time,

1 Response to New Year

  1. Very good post and point! The 1st of January is only significant because we make it so. Calendars are very useful tools for measuring our concept of time, but humans tend to compartmentalize each year and thereby give New Year’s Day a signifigance it wouldn’t have otherwise. Every day should lived for God. Very nice post, my friend – welcome back!
