Wrapping up in devotional of Galatians 2:6-10, the unity we see here was not unity at all costs, but unity around gospel truth. Unity is a precious thing: but it should not be at truth’s expense. Paul was willing to be disunited with those who preached a gospel of slavery to works, instead of the freedom that comes from faith in Jesus. Make sure that you hold gospel truth as more important than either unity or division.

Let us pray:
Heavenly Father;
We thank You that You save a variety of people and give us different tasks and callings to continue to share Your Word. Your Truth. Lord, we ask of You to keep us united around the truth of the gospel. In Jesus’ name, Amen

1 Response to Unity

  1. Very well said, my dear friend and sister in Christ. Unity should never come at the expense of the Truth found in the Word of God, which is why I have little or no use for the ecumenical movement and especially not for the growing move to try and reconcile Christianity to Islam. Such movements are heretical and should be shunned by all of the faithful in Christ.
